RUSSIA · CHERNOGOLOVKA · 0.5 L
What it is
Dushes is one of the oldest Soviet carbonated soft drinks, developed in the 1930s. The name comes from the Duchess pear variety — a fragrant fruit grown in the Caucasus and Crimea. This recipe has barely changed in nearly a century: strongly carbonated, moderately sweet, with a clean pear note that stays crisp rather than perfumed.
The 0.5 L bottle is the classic single-serve format — right for one sitting, easy to chill, and recognisable by that distinctive yellow-amber colour.
Ingredients
Water, sugar, citric acid (acidity regulator), natural pear flavouring, sodium benzoate (preservative), caramelised sugar syrup; complex food additive: gum arabic (stabiliser), beta-carotene E160a (colour), alpha-tocopherol (antioxidant).
