What it is
The Soviet "provansas" is mayonnaise the way Eastern Europe knows it: thicker than Western mayos, eggier, with a quiet mustard back-note that lifts everything it touches. Spilva’s version is the working version of that recipe, on a rapeseed-oil base.
The everyday: olivier and Soviet-era meat salads, herring under a fur coat, a smear on a fried-egg sandwich, a dollop on hot boiled potatoes, base for a quick remoulade with chopped pickle and dill.

Rapeseed oil, water, egg and egg-yolk powder (contains maltodextrin), skimmed-milk powder, sugar, salt, acidity regulators (acetic acid, citric acid, sodium bicarbonate), preservative potassium sorbate, mustard seed flavouring, colour (beta-carotene).
