About this product
"Sborshchiki" — literally "the gatherers" — is the traditional Russian winter-preserve salad of honey mushrooms cooked down with sautéed onion and carrot, finished with sunflower oil and a clean acid lift. It tastes of the autumn forest with a slight sweetness from the carrot and a softness from the long, slow cook.
Eat it straight from the jar, or use as a pancake/blini filling, a pirozhki stuffing, a potato topping, or a sandwich spread on dark rye. Add a generous spoon to creamy mushroom soup just before serving for a much deeper flavour.
