What it is
This tomato sauce from Kedainiu Konservai is made to complement grilled meats. Ripe tomatoes form the base, balanced with onion, garlic and a blend of warm spices to deliver a sauce that works equally well as a marinade, a basting glaze during grilling, or a table condiment alongside freshly cooked shashlik.
Marinate pork, chicken or lamb for 2–4 hours before grilling, or spoon generously over skewers while they cook. Also good as a dipping sauce with grilled vegetables and flatbread.
