What they are
Wheat-and-rye bread baked, sliced and double-dried until brittle, then tumbled with a smoky salami seasoning — paprika, garlic, black pepper and a cured-meat backbone. Flint is Ukraine's most familiar maker of this format, and the 150 g pack is the one you put on the table at a gathering rather than crunch through alone.
Pour into a bowl with cold beer or kvass, scatter across a snack board with pickles and smoked cheese, or crumble them over a creamy soup in place of croutons.
