What they are
Crunchy little rusks cut from rye-and-wheat bread, double-baked until they snap, then tumbled with a smoky bacon-and-paprika seasoning. Flint has been turning out this format in Ukraine for years — it is the country's most familiar beer-snack, the kind kept in the kitchen drawer for unexpected guests.
Tear open the bag and tip them straight into a bowl with cold beer or kvass, or scatter them across a snack board next to pickles, smoked salami and salted herring.
