Tea for two — Sweet Straws, 200 g
Thin, crisp, lightly sweet — the everyday companion for a cup of tea.
EASTERN EUROPE · TEA FOR TWO · 200 g
What they are
Solomka — literally "straws" — are slim baked wheat sticks that have been a Soviet-era tea-time staple for generations. The «Чай вдвоём» version is the sweet kind: pale gold, evenly snapped, with the faintest dust of sugar and a clean buttery flavour. They're the kind of thing you reach for without thinking about it.
Serve them with black tea, coffee, a glass of milk, or alongside ice cream and fruit. They keep well in the bag for nibbling through the week.
Ingredients
Wheat flour, sugar, margarine (palm oil, sunflower oil, water, salt, emulsifier soya lecithin (E322), whole milk, citric acid, preservative sorbic acid (E200), butter flavouring, colour beta-carotene), salt, raising agent.
Per manufacturer — recipe may vary by batch; always check the on-pack ingredient list.
