What it is
Neznaika wafer sweets are a classic Russian confectionery treat — light, crunchy wafer layers encasing a smooth filling with the flavour of boiled condensed milk (dulce de leche), all wrapped in a chocolate glaze. Made by the Penza Confectionery Factory, these bite-sized sweets have been a fixture of Eastern European sweet shops for generations. The balance of crisp wafer and rich, caramel-like cream makes them easy to reach for just one more.
