Sprats Fillet in Oil
Tender Baltic sprat fillets, preserved in sunflower oil
BALTIC SEA · SPRATS · 250 G
What it is
Sprats are a cornerstone of Baltic cuisine — small, oily fish from the cold waters of the Baltic Sea, prized for their rich flavour and firm flesh. These fillets take the classic a step further: each fish is carefully deboned, leaving only tender, golden-brown fillets packed in sunflower oil.
Unlike whole-sprat tins, sprat fillet is ready to eat without fuss — straight from the tin onto dark rye bread with butter and spring onion, or stirred into potato salads and pasta. A 250 g tin is generous enough for a shared plate.
