What it is
Rīgas Šampanietis is Latvia’s best-known sparkling wine, produced at the Latvijas Balzams facility in Riga. The Brut variety is bone dry with a fine persistent mousse and a clean, crisp palate — refreshing with green apple and a hint of citrus zest.
Made using the Charmat (tank) method, which preserves the fruit-forward character of the base wine while delivering a lively bead and consistent quality. At 11.5% alcohol, it is well-balanced and versatile at the table.
