What it is
Baltais’ Krējums Exporta is a 25% sour cream made the long way: pasteurised cream slowly soured with lactic cultures rather than thickened with starch. The result is dense and silky, with that quiet tang that lifts a hot soup without overpowering it.
Stir a spoonful into borshch, solyanka or shchi, fold it into vareniki and pelmeni, use it on baked potatoes, or whip it with sugar and honey as a quick topping for berries.
