What it is
Sorrel is a sharp, lemony green beloved in Eastern European and Russian cooking — the backbone of green borscht and a classic filling for savoury pies. Kėdainių Konservų Fabrikas, one of Lithuania's oldest preserved-food factories, packs fresh-harvested sorrel leaves in light brine to lock in their bright, acidic flavour and deep-green colour.
