What it is
Zvonkoe Leto (Звонкое Лето) is one of Russia’s most recognisable sweets: a plump dome of strawberry-flavoured pectin jelly, enrobed in a thin chocolate glaze. Each piece is firm yet yielding, with a sweet berry note and a faint cocoa finish. Made by Rot Front at their Voronezh factory — a brand with roots going back to Soviet-era confectionery.

Sugar, glucose syrup (molasses), chocolate glaze [sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter equivalent (fractionated non-hydrogenated vegetable oils: palm, shea), cocoa powder, emulsifiers: soya lecithin, E476; flavouring: vanilla], gelling agent: pectin; acidity regulators: citric acid, E331iii; colour: E120; flavouring: strawberry.
