Mishka Kosolapy Chocolate Sweets
Russia's best-loved chocolate candy — almond praline, crispy wafer layers, dark chocolate coating.
RUSSIA · RED OCTOBER · 200 g
What it is
Mishka Kosolapy — Clumsy Bear — is one of Russia's most iconic confectionery names, made since 1896 by the Red October factory in Moscow. Each sweet consists of roasted almond praline pressed between two crispy wafer sheets, then enrobed in a generous layer of dark chocolate with a characteristic wavy pattern on top.
The wrapper carries a reproduction of Ivan Shishkin's painting Morning in a Pine Forest (1889) — one of the most recognised images in Russian art. The twist-wrap, the foil inside, and that first snap of chocolate are a deeply familiar ritual for anyone who grew up with Eastern European confectionery.
