What they are
Apelsynovi dolky — orange slices — are the classic agar jelly sweet of the Ukrainian and Russian table: deep amber half-moons with a paler rind, rolled in granulated sugar so they crackle before they give. They are set with agar rather than gelatine, which makes the bite short and clean instead of chewy, and they carry real concentrated orange juice, so the citrus note is fruit rather than candy.
They belong with black tea, plain and unhurried, and one box tends to disappear faster than anyone plans. They are useful beyond the sweet bowl too: cut into halves they finish a cake or a plate of pastries, and they sit well next to the lemon slices if you want both colours on the table.
Ingredients
Sugar, starch syrup, acidity regulator: citric acid, gelling agent: agar, liquid egg white, concentrated orange juice (0.2%), orange flavouring, natural food colouring (E160c, paprika extract).

Allergens & storage
Contains: EGG. Egg white is used to whip the marmalade mass — it is structural to the recipe, not an optional extra. No other statutory allergens are declared.
Store at around 18 °C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong-smelling foods. Once opened, keep the box closed or move the slices to an airtight tin — left in the open air the sugar coating draws moisture and turns sticky. Shelf life 4 months from production.
