Lidskoe Zhigulevskoe Special Beer
A classic Belarusian lager — golden, balanced, brewed since 1940
BELARUS · LIDSKOE PIVO · 0.45 L · 5.2% ABV
What it is
Zhigulevskoe Special is a pale lager brewed by JSC Lidskoe Pivo in Lida, Belarus. The recipe dates back to 1940, making it one of the oldest continuously produced beers in the country. At 5.2% ABV it carries a touch more body than the standard Zhigulevskoe — enough depth without losing the clean, refreshing character the style is known for.
Poured into a glass it shows a bright golden colour with moderate carbonation and a white head. The aroma is gently malty with a faint hop note; the palate is smooth and easy-drinking, with a mild bitterness (16 IBU) that finishes cleanly. A straightforward, honest lager.
