What it is
«Istena» — «истинный» — the genuine Latvian rye made without yeast, leavened only by natural sourdough over a long ferment. Studded with sunflower and pumpkin seeds for extra crunch and aroma.
Slice thinly for fish, cheese or pickles — the dense crumb supports any topping. Keeps wonderfully for several days; even better toasted.
