What it is
Tinginys — the name means “lazy cake” in Lithuanian — is one of the country’s most-loved confections. Laragis combines crumbled shortbread biscuits with cocoa, butter and milk into a dense, fudgy roll that firms up in the fridge. Slice it and you get the characteristic marbled cross-section: pale biscuit pieces suspended in a rich chocolate base. Firm enough to hold its shape, soft enough to melt cleanly on the tongue.

Shortbread biscuits (wheat flour, sugar, palm oil, salt, raising agent: sodium bicarbonate), sugar, butter (milk), fat-reduced cocoa powder (min. 10% cocoa butter), whole milk powder, emulsifier: soya lecithin.
