What it is

A traditional yellow pea soup made to a Latvian recipe using local produce. Yellow peas and pearl barley give it a hearty body, while sauteed carrots and onions add depth. The soup is pasteurised and ready to eat — heat straight from the tin or dilute 1:1 with hot water or meat stock for a lighter consistency. One tin yields 2–3 generous portions.
