Iceland Moss 50g
A traditional herbal remedy treasured across Northern Europe
CETRARIA ISLANDICA · DRIED LICHEN · 50g
What it is
Iceland Moss (Cetraria islandica) is not a true moss but a lichen that grows wild across Iceland, Scandinavia, and the mountain regions of Central Europe. It has been used in folk medicine for centuries, particularly for respiratory complaints, sore throats, and digestive discomfort. Rich in polysaccharides and bitter acids, it has a soothing, coating effect on irritated mucous membranes — making it a reliable companion during cold season.
What's inside
50g of dried Iceland Moss (Cetraria islandica) lichen. No additives, no fillers — just the whole dried herb.
How to use
To prepare as a tea: optionally soak the moss in cold water for 10 minutes and drain (this reduces bitterness). Place 1–2 teaspoons of dried moss in 250ml of cold water, bring to a simmer, and steep for 10–15 minutes. Strain and drink warm, 1–2 cups per day. For best results, use over a course of 30–40 days. Can also be used as a gargle for sore throats.
