Babushkin Khutorok Monastyrsky Dry Kvass
Traditional bread drink — just add water
RUSSIA · BABUSHKIN KHUTOROK · 150 g
What it is
Monastyrsky is a dry kvass concentrate that lets you brew two litres of classic Eastern European bread drink at home in just a few hours. The blend combines fermented rye malt, rye flour and a measured dose of yeast — the same base that has driven kvass in Russian kitchens for generations.
Pour the contents into two litres of warm boiled water, cover with a cloth and leave in a warm spot for four to five hours. Chill and serve. No special equipment, no sourdough starter, no days of waiting.
Ingredients
Rye flour, sugar, fermented rye malt, dry kvass wort extract, quick-acting dry yeast, citric acid.
