About this product
Chanterelles (Cantharellus cibarius) are the prized golden-yellow wild mushroom that announces forest summer. They carry a delicate apricot aroma, a soft peppery whisper, and a firm bite that holds up to the pan — qualities that have made them a favourite across Eastern and Central European kitchens for generations.
Sauté them in butter with shallots, finish with cream and fresh herbs, fold through pasta or buckwheat, or pile them onto a thick slice of dark bread. Wipe with a damp cloth rather than soaking — chanterelles dislike water. Seasonal and weather-dependent; size and colour vary with each harvest.
