What it is
The classic Doshirak — wheat noodles in a tray with a savoury, slightly peppery beef broth. The format is roomier and more comfortable than a cup, and a plastic fork is tucked inside the pack. This is the flavour most people from the post-Soviet world reach for first when they say «Доширак».
Doshirak Rus, the Russian arm of Korean noodle giant Paldo, makes them at a factory in the Moscow region. The broth base ferments for over 100 days for a deeper savoury note than a simple stock cube — paired with red pepper, soy sauce and garlic for a balanced, very ringable flavour.
How to prepare
Open the tray, tip in the dry seasoning and the broth sachets. Pour in around 400 ml of freshly boiled water — fill to the marked line. Close the lid and leave for 3 minutes. Stir well, taste and adjust if you want it sharper.
Composition
Noodles: wheat flour, vegetable oil, modified potato starch, salt, emulsifier "K-300A" (soy oil, soy lecithin), wheat gluten, premix stabiliser (E501i potassium carbonate, E412 guar gum, E452i sodium polyphosphate), seasoning blend (sugar, yeast extract, vegetable protein, onion, soy sauce powder), dried laminaria, dried onion.
Beef broth seasoning: beef broth base (red pepper, soy sauce, milk whey powder, vegetable broth powder, garlic, soy paste, beef broth powder, red pepper oil, black pepper, beef flavouring, paprika extract, maltodextrin), salt, flavour enhancer (E621 monosodium glutamate), sugar, glucose.
Dry vegetable mix: textured soy protein, carrot, onion, dried seaweed flakes, fish-cake (kamaboko).
