What it is
Tray-format instant noodles in a peppery chicken broth — the spicier sibling of the regular Doshirak that has been a Russian student-and-office staple since the mid-1990s. The wide rectangular tray is roomier and easier to eat from than the usual cup, and a fork comes inside the pack.
Behind the brand is Doshirak Rus, the Russian arm of Korean noodle giant Paldo, with a factory near Moscow. The chicken broth base is fermented for over 100 days for a deeper savoury note — and the "с перцем" version layers fried red pepper and hot pepper on top of that for the kick.
How to prepare
Open the tray, tip in the dry seasoning and the powdered broth sachets. Pour in around 400 ml of freshly boiled water — fill to the indicated line. Close the lid and leave for 3 minutes. Stir well, taste, and add an extra pinch of pepper or a splash of soy if you like it sharper.
Composition
Noodles: wheat flour, vegetable oil, salt, wheat gluten, modified starch, stabilisers (E501i, E412, E452i), soy product (lecithin / soy oil emulsifier), dried onion.
Broth seasoning: salt, chicken broth powder with vegetables, garlic, fried red pepper, yeast extract, hot red pepper, sugar, flavour enhancer (E621), maltodextrin, vegetable protein hydrolysate, ground black pepper.
Dry vegetable mix: dried onion, carrot, soy protein, dried laminaria.
