What it is
This is the original «Gorky» ("Bitter") bar from Babaevsky, Moscow's oldest confectionery factory — a 58.5 % cocoa dark that has been on Russian shop shelves in essentially the same form for decades.
Where most dark bars rely on cocoa percentage alone, this one is built on a layered house recipe: ground almond kernels, a measure of cognac, brewed tea and warm vanilla are all part of the chocolate itself. The result is bittersweet but rounder — less aggressive than the 75 % Elitny, with a faintly nutty, slightly aromatic finish. Best with strong tea or coffee, broken into squares.
Ingredients
Cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, ground almond kernels, emulsifiers (soya lecithin, E476), rectified ethyl alcohol, cognac, tea, vanilla and almond flavourings. Cocoa solids 58.5 % (minimum 55 % cocoa products).

Contains: almonds (tree nuts), soya, and alcohol (cognac and rectified ethanol in the recipe — trace levels after conching, but declared).
Store in a cool, dry place at 15–20 °C, away from direct sunlight and strong odours. Keep wrapped — dark chocolate is light- and odour-sensitive and will bloom if stored badly.
