What it is
Barbaris (барбарис) is one of the most iconic Soviet-era hard candies still in production today. Made by Rot Front in Moscow, these small oval lollies have a distinctive tart-sweet barberry flavour with a hint of vanilla. The deep ruby colour and sharp fruity bite make them instantly recognisable — a staple at Eastern European grocery counters for generations.
