A Soviet classic — hard candy shaped like a rooster, on a stick.
Russia · ~30g
Petushok — Russian for 'little rooster' — is one of the most recognisable sweets of the Soviet era. Poured into a cockerel-shaped mould and set on a wooden stick, it is made from just a handful of ingredients: sugar, glucose syrup, and a touch of citric acid. The result is a clear amber hard candy with a clean caramel sweetness. Sold individually, it is as much a piece of nostalgia as it is a treat.
Sugar, glucose syrup, water, citric acid, natural flavouring, colour (varies by flavour variant).
