What it is
Pieniškos, the Lithuanian term for milk sausages, are a classic across Baltic tables. Biovela makes them with pork and chicken combined with dried milk and egg powder — the combination gives a smooth, tender bite and a clean snap of the casing. Ready-cooked and simple to serve.
Biovela is one of Lithuania's largest meat producers. Heat the sausages in simmering water for 5–7 minutes, or pan-fry to a light golden finish. Serve with rye bread and mustard, or alongside boiled potatoes.
