What it is
Brūža Samtainais — «samtainais» means velvety in Latvian — is the amber lager from Cēsu Alus’s craft Brūža range. Brewed in Cēsis, a town with a brewing tradition stretching back to the 16th century, it pours a deep amber with a fine persistent head.
Aromatic Perle hops give the beer its subtle floral character, while a blend of pale and caramel malts creates the warm amber colour and gently sweet body. The bitterness is measured and soft — it finishes clean, with that signature velvet quality that gives the beer its name.
