Rot Front Batonchiki with Nuts 250g
Roasted peanuts and cashews in a crisp chocolate glaze
RUSSIA · ROT FRONT · 250 g
What it is
Batonchiki are small bar-shaped sweets from the Rot Front confectionery factory in Moscow — one of Russia's oldest and best-known producers of traditional sweets. Each piece is built around a dense praline-style core of roasted peanuts and cashews, bound with sugar and cocoa powder, then set with a thin chocolate-coating glaze.
The name simply means «little bars», and the format has remained largely unchanged since the Soviet era: compact, satisfying, and easy to share from a bag.
Ingredients
Sugar, grated peanuts, cocoa butter substitute (partially hydrogenated vegetable oils: palm, soy, shea, rapeseed; emulsifier: sunflower lecithin), crushed wafers (wheat flour, water, sunflower oil, salt, sodium bicarbonate, soy lecithin), crushed peanuts, deodorised soy flour, whole milk powder, cocoa powder, crushed cashew kernels, ascorbic acid, vanilla flavouring.
