Kindzmarauli, Red Semi-Sweet Wine
Naturally sweet Saperavi from the Kindzmarauli microzone, Kakheti
GEORGIA · MARANI · 750 ml · 11.5% ABV
What it is
Kindzmarauli is a Controlled Appellation of Origin wine produced from 100% Saperavi grapes grown in the narrow Kindzmarauli microzone along the Alazani Valley in Kakheti, eastern Georgia. The naturally semi-sweet style comes from a traditional method of stopping fermentation early, preserving the grape's own sugars rather than adding any.
Deep ruby in the glass with a rich, velvety texture, it opens with aromas of ripe cherry and dark plum, leading into a smooth, full palate with notes of blackberry and a gentle tannic structure. Marani has produced this appellation wine from their Kakheti estate for decades, keeping the winemaking faithful to the Kindzmarauli tradition.
