What it is
Mezzek is a dry red wine crafted by Katarzyna Estate on the hilly border zone between Bulgaria and Greece, at the eastern slopes of the Rhodope mountains in the Thracian Valley Protected Geographical Indication. The blend combines 70% Cabernet Sauvignon with 30% Mavrud — a bold, deeply coloured indigenous Bulgarian variety.
Thirty-five percent of the batch is aged for six months in French oak barrels, lending the wine a rounded structure with notes of dark cherry, blackcurrant, spice, and a subtle oak finish.
Ingredients
Grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Mavrud 30%), contains sulphites.
Wine is a natural agricultural product; actual grape varieties and sulphite levels are stated on the bottle label.
