What it is
Pirosmani is a Protected Designation of Origin Georgian wine from the Kakheti region, named after the beloved primitivist painter Niko Pirosmani. Kindzmarauli Marani, the Kvareli-based winery, crafts this medium-dry red from Rkatsiteli grapes grown in Kakheti's limestone-rich soils, producing a wine that sits naturally between dry and semi-sweet.
Deep ruby in colour, Pirosmani opens with notes of ripe cherry, dark plum and dried herbs. The palate is rounded and accessible — soft tannins, restrained acidity and a clean finish that pairs well with grilled meats, khinkali or a board of Georgian cheese.
