The natural blossom honey is extracted in Latvia. It’s colour and taste can be very different. The beekeeping in Latvia becomes increasingly developed, fields of buckwheat, rape, phacelia and other nectar plants are cultivated especially for honey extraction. A bee collects nectar of these plants and transforms it into honey. This is why the taste, colour and scent of honey are dependent on the type of blossoms from which the particular honey has been collected, and these nuances can be very different. For example, rape honey is completely white with pleasant taste, whereas buckwheat honey is almost black and with specific taste and scent which may not be acceptable to everybody. However, there is no accounting for tastes, and the main thing is that all these types of honey are high-quality and healthy.
