What it is
Vigesta’s «Panevezio» pork fillet is a hot-smoked whole pork loin in the long-standing tradition of Panevėžys, a city in northern Lithuania known for its smokehouse trade. The lean loin is brined, lightly seasoned in the Lithuanian style (caraway is the classic note) and slowly hot-smoked until the meat is fully cooked, tender and carries a warm amber crust. Pre-sliced and vacuum-sealed by the manufacturer, it is ready to lift straight onto a board with rye bread, pickles and a sharp mustard — or to layer into a sandwich without any further cooking.
