Uvelka Couscous, Boil-in-Bag 5 × 80 g (400 g)
Fluffy durum-wheat couscous, portion-perfect in five cooking sachets.
MADE IN RUSSIA · UVELKA · 5 × 80 G
What it is
Classic durum-wheat couscous — fine semolina pearls steamed and dried — packed by Uvelka into five 80 g cooking sachets. Each bag is exactly one portion (two adult servings), so you boil what you need and the rest stays sealed and dry.
A North-African staple that has long crossed borders: light, mild, neutral enough for almost any sauce, broth or salad, yet substantial enough to stand on its own with a knob of butter.
How to cook
- Boil-in-bag method: drop one 80 g sachet into a pot of boiling salted water, simmer for 3–5 minutes, lift out with a fork, snip the corner and tip into a serving bowl. Fluff with a fork and finish with butter or olive oil.
- Savoury side: serve alongside roast chicken, stews, lamb tagine, grilled fish or kebabs — couscous soaks up sauce beautifully.
- Salad bowl: tabbouleh-style with parsley, mint, tomato, cucumber, lemon and olive oil.
- Sweet breakfast: dress with warm milk, honey, dried fruit and nuts — a comforting porridge alternative.
- Stuffing: mix with herbs, fried onion and pine nuts for stuffed peppers or aubergines.
