Suvorov «Bird's Milk» / «Пташине молоко» Soufflé Sweets, 200 g
Light vanilla soufflé in dark glaze — the Ukrainian take on a post-Soviet classic.
MADE IN UKRAINE · SUVOROV · 200 G
What they are
Individually wrapped soufflé sweets from Suvorov, the confectionery in Dnipro (Ukraine). Inside the swallow-print wrapper sits a pale, cream-white square of airy vanilla soufflé enrobed in a thin coat of dark chocolate-style glaze. The bite is the part to wait for: a clean snap of glaze opens onto something almost weightless that melts on the tongue.
«Пташине молоко» ("bird's milk") is a Slavic confectionery idea that travelled across borders — Poland's Ptasie Mleczko, Russia's «Птичье молоко», Ukraine's «Пташине молоко» — and Suvorov's interpretation is the everyday version: gentle vanilla, no overstuffing, easy to share by the handful.
How to enjoy
- With strong tea or coffee — the default Eastern-European afternoon pairing.
- On a sweets dish for guests — small, foil-wrapped, easy to take a couple at a time.
- As a quiet, recognisable gift for anyone with childhood memories of the post-Soviet world.
- With a glass of milk — leans into the soft vanilla note.
