What it is
Vīriešu Zapte — literally Men's Preserve — is a chunky, lightly spiced vegetable relish made by SPILVA, one of Latvia's best-known condiment and preserve brands. Tomatoes, sweet peppers, onions, and carrots are cooked together with garlic and spices, then pasteurised without preservatives. The result is a robust, tangy condiment that pairs well with grilled or smoked meats, cold cuts, and rye bread.
