Seasoning for Salting Lard at Home
A classic spice blend for home-cured pork lard
BELARUS · LIDSKOYE PRIPRAVY · 120 G
What it is
A Belarusian spice-and-salt blend made specifically for curing pork lard at home. The mix brings together iodised salt, coriander, dried garlic, black pepper, caraway and allspice — everything needed for a proper zasólka in a single packet. Rub the seasoning generously over fresh lard, pack tightly into an enamel or glass container, seal and leave at room temperature for 2–3 days, then transfer to the fridge. The result is firm, well-seasoned salo with the depth that only home curing delivers.
Ingredients
Iodised table salt (with potassium iodate, anti-caking agent E536), ground coriander, dried crushed garlic, ground black pepper, caraway seeds, ground allspice.
