What it is
Kirieshki are one of Russia’s most recognisable snacks — small rye-and-wheat rusks, baked rather than fried, and tumbled in a punchy seasoning blend. The ham and cheese variety has been a store-cupboard staple since the 1990s. Each piece is light and brittle with a deep savoury note that builds as you eat.
