What it is
Dulceata de Trandafiri is Romania's most celebrated preserve — whole rose petals suspended in a clear, fragrant syrup. Raureni has been making it since the 1950s in their Vâlcea region factory, sourcing petals from local roses. The result is a confiture that is floral without being perfumed, sweet without being cloying — best spooned over thick yoghurt, spread on fresh bread, or stirred into warm tea.
