Mukuzani 2016 Georgian Wine
Deep-coloured dry red from Georgia's Kakheti — oak-aged, full-bodied, classic
GEORGIA · MUKUZANI PDO · 750 ml
What it is
Mukuzani is one of Georgia's most celebrated dry red wines, produced from Saperavi grapes grown in the Mukuzani micro-zone of the Alazani Valley in Kakheti. Protected by appellation rules, Mukuzani must age in oak barrels for at least three years before release — giving the 2016 vintage ample time to develop a complex, layered character.
In the glass: deep ruby-red, almost opaque. The nose opens with ripe cherry, blackberry, and a hint of tobacco leaf; the palate delivers structured tannins, lively acidity, and a long finish of dark chocolate and toasted oak. Pairs well with grilled lamb, aged hard cheeses, or hearty stews.
Ingredients
Grape juice (Saperavi), contains antioxidant: sulphur dioxide (SO2). No added flavours or artificial preservatives.
