What it is
Mukuzani is a Protected Designation of Origin wine from the Mukuzani microzone in Kakheti, eastern Georgia's most celebrated wine region. Made entirely from Saperavi, the region's flagship red grape, this bottle from the Mimino Grammy line spends approximately ten months in oak barrels before release.
In the glass: deep ruby with garnet hints. On the nose: ripe cherries, dark plums, and blackcurrant. The palate is dry and full-bodied with firm tannins, showing dark berries, subtle oak spice, and a long finish with notes of blackcurrant and dark chocolate.
