Kabanosy (kabanosai in Lithuanian) are long, slender dried pork sausages with a firm, slightly chewy bite and a mild, savoury finish. Krekenavos Agrofirma, based in the Kėdainiai district of Lithuania, has been producing traditional meat products for over 30 years — the Dužgės variety is one of their enduring classics.
Serve straight from the pack, sliced thinly over dark rye bread, or alongside pickles and mustard for a no-fuss Eastern European snack board.
