What it is
Suktinis is a centuries-old-style Lithuanian mead nectar produced in Stakliškės by Lietuviškas Midus. Blending natural bee honey with 14 herbs, berries and spices — including bilberries, blackcurrants, cloves, juniper and poplar buds — it is matured for 18 to 20 months before bottling. The result is a full-bodied amber spirit, warmly honeyed and richly spiced, with a long herbal finish.
This ceramic bottle version is a special presentation format — the handcrafted stoneware casing makes it a sought-after gift. Named after a traditional Lithuanian folk dance and created in 1963 to a recipe by A. Sinkevičius, Suktinis has earned a Gold Medal at the Berlin International Spirits Competition (2019) and holds the title of Lithuania's Liqueur of the Year.
