What it is
Herba Devynia means “nine herbs” in Lithuanian. Stumbras has been producing this bitters formula in Kaunas since the distillery’s founding, tracing its roots to an ancient Lithuanian recipe. The 999 Red is the boldest expression in the range: 27 botanicals (9 blossoms, 9 fruits, 9 roots) are macerated separately, then blended and rested in barrel until the flavours knit into one.
Red berry fruit brings warmth and colour alongside the classic bitter backbone of ginger, anise, rhubarb root, angelica and cardamom. Serve neat over ice, stir into cocktails, or take as a digestif.
