What it is
Kulich is the centrepiece of the Orthodox Easter table — a tall, domed sweet bread blessed at church and shared with family on Easter Sunday. This version is made without yeast: baking powder does the lifting, giving a finer, more tender crumb and a shorter preparation time. Sweet, lightly spiced, and studded with raisins, it is finished with a white sugar glaze and colourful sprinkles in the traditional style.

Wheat flour, sugar, eggs, butter, raisins, milk, baking powder, vanilla, salt, candied citrus peel. Icing: icing sugar, water. Decoration: sugar sprinkles.
