About this product
Dried boletus (porcini, belye griby) are the most concentrated form of the most prized European forest mushroom. Twenty grams of dried caps reconstitute into roughly 150–200 g of fragrant mushroom — enough to deeply flavour a soup for four, a risotto for six, or a rich mushroom sauce.
Soak in hot (not boiling) water for 20–30 minutes, then lift out gently — the soaking liquid is liquid gold. Strain it through muslin or a paper towel to catch any forest grit, and use it as part of your stock. The rehydrated mushrooms slice for buckwheat, kasha, dumpling stuffing, or a deep mushroom-and-barley soup.
