What it is
Cod liver has long been prized in Eastern European kitchens. Rich in natural fish oils, it offers a smooth, buttery texture that spreads easily on rye or sourdough bread. Each tin packs a concentrated dose of omega-3 fatty acids alongside vitamins A and D in their most bioavailable form.
Spread on dark rye bread and top with sliced egg and spring onion. Works equally well stirred into a quick salad with pickled gherkins, or served straight from the tin alongside crackers.
