What it is
A bitter bar from Krasny Oktyabr, the Moscow chocolate factory that has been working since 1851. At 80% cocoa solids the sugar steps right back: the first note is dry and dark, followed by a faint acidity and a long, tannic finish. It snaps cleanly and melts slowly on the tongue rather than coating it. For people who take their coffee black — and a good bar to cook with when a recipe wants real depth.

Cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa powder, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soya lecithin, vanilla flavouring. Cocoa solids 80% minimum; dry non-fat cocoa solids not less than 75.7%.
